These potholders are an easy make and a good way to use up those small scrap yarns from other projects. They are crocheted with double strands of yarn where one strand is white (or any colour you prefer) and the other strand is made of scrap yarn. The benefit of using one strand in one colour is that the colour changes of the other strand will look more smooth.

To make a pair of potholders you need one skein of Scheepjes Cotton 8 50 g, colour 501 (or any colour you prefer) and approximately 50 g scrap yarn (100 % cotton). I used a mix of Scheepjes Cotton 8 and Scheepjes Catona. You can also use a 50 g skein of one colour and make a solid coloured potholder. With hook 4.0 mm the size will be around 23 x 19 cm.

Dessa grytlappar är mycket enkla att göra och ett bra sätt att använda upp små restgarnssnuttar som blir över i andra projekt. De virkas i dubbelt garn där den ena tråden är naturvit (eller den färg som önskas) och den andra består av restgarner i olika färger. Fördelen med att ha en genomgående färg på ena tråden är att färgskiftningarna i arbetet blir mjukare.

Till ett par grytlappar går det åt ett nystan Scheepjes Cotton 8 50 g, färg 501 (eller den färg du önskar) och ca 50 g restgarner i 100 % bomull. Jag har använt en blandning av Scheepjes Cotton 8 och Scheepjes Catona. Det går också bra att använda ett 50 g nystan av en färg och göra enfärgade grytlappar. Med virknål 4.0 mm blir grytlapparna ca 23 x 19 cm stora.
