This little cowl is double layered lace weight yarn. I used scraps of qiviut and qiviut blends but any lace weight yarns would work. Wool would of course be warmer than acrylic or cotton. The cowl is literally knit with small lengths of scraps. 70” lengths of yarn are needed to complete rows. This project is very easy and would be a most appreciated unique gift. Every one you make will be an original. The key to a beautify finished project is to make sure all your yarn scraps come from the same colour tone. For example all are tweeds, or all pastels, or all bright colours. This project uses a provisional cast on but a regular cast on and cast off can easily be used and then the sides sewn instead of knitted together.
