These fingering weight mittens are light-weight & fun to knit. Use several colors of yarn—scraps, or odd-balls, or purposely purchased coordinating sets—to create striped mittens with small amounts of stranded knitting to help blend the colors into one another.

While I’ve written the instructions to have 6 different colors and stripes of equal widths, experimentation is highly encouraged!

Childrens S should hands fit hands measuring up to 5.5 (6, 6.5, 7, 7.75, 8.5)”/ 14 (15, 16.5, 18, 20, 21.5) cm circumference at the palm. It will require different colors of fingering weight yarn adding up to approximately 25 (35, 45, 55, 65, 75) g.

This pattern is also part of the ebook Scrappy Stripey Sock Yarn Accessories which contains instructions for the hat, mittens & the scarf.
