We all have them. That pile of glorious little balls a yarn left over from other projects, or bought to try something out, but which have not yet found quite the right home. Well I decided it was time to breathe some life into my mini skeins and knit myself some wings at the same time. The main colour adds structure to the piece but the joy is in playing with just how many splashes of colour you can squeeze into this strikingly stripy shawl.

When I was designing the Wavelet Scarf it became obvious that it would look even more striking when worked in multiple colours as born out by Nicola Nicholson’s example of the scarf (see final picture of Wavelet Scarf).
