Meet Rodney the Fisher Bear! Rodney is the sweetest fisherman bear, but you can use this pattern to make any color bear you want.

Rodney is a huge boy!! He’s just over 30” !

Let me show you how to take a big pile of ugly or old scrap yarn and make this adorable bear and everything you see with him.

Advanced to beginner level pattern. This might be a beginner crochet tutorial if the crocheter is familiar with working in the round and holding a few strands of yarn at once. This is a 16-page PDF with a LOT of pictures. The hat is made in a non-traditional way, so it has a lot of photos to help with the construction.

Materials:

Any type of yarn can be used for this project. My examples uses mostly #4 size yarn in assorted brands. I give a lot of details in my pattern on how to choose the proper yarn and hooks to make this project.

There is no yardage listed for this pattern as it is a scrap yarn project and I have pulled dozens of variegated scrap yarn balls and partially used skeins.

You will also need stuffing and safety eyes or buttons for the bear and fish. The net is made up with the center of an embroidery hoop and some heavy wire/metal rod.
