This pattern was inspired by the mini skeins of Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Worsted on jimmybeanswool.com. I ordered a whole ton of them so I could sample different colorways without investing in a whole skein. Of course, you can use whichever bits of yarn you’d like. All sizes knit as examples in this pattern used the 15 yard mini skeins. The bigger the hat, the skinnier the “stripes”. If you use colorways that are of a similar color family, you’ll end up with a cohesive piece that looks as if it were knit from one ball of insanely intricate hand painted yarn. There are options for an icord hat topper and a random texture pattern. Every hat is a work of art!
