The Scraptastic Socks are perfect for fading together your favorite semi-solid or speckled colors. This pattern is knit in reverse stockinette, but with a little bit of magic. The entire leg is knit inside out so minimal purling required. The pattern includes details on how to carry your color changes when you’re knitting inside out- so don’t fret! This pattern also comes with cuff down and toe up instructions.

Color is EVERYTHING with these socks. Make your socks more faded or more stripey. Create a rainbow effect. Use all ten colors or just five. This pattern DOES NOT COME WITH HEEL INSTRUCTIONS. It is designed to work best with the Fish Lips Kiss Heel (or similar short row heel) or an afterthought heel. A heel flap and gusset can be substituted, but it will take some planning ahead. If you have a few pairs of socks under your belt, you’ll have no trouble subbing in your favorite heel!

Purchase of this pattern includes TWO PDFs. One with cuff down instructions and another with toe up instructions. Two patterns in one!

| YARN |

• 10 grams {45 yards} of fingering weight in 8-10 colors, depending on foot size.
• 12-15 grams {60-70 yards} of fingering weight for the heel.
• Each sock will use approximately 5 grams {or less} of each color, so 10 grams of a single color is plenty to make a pair of matching socks in any size.
• These socks are designed to use those leftovers bits of sock yarn or mini-skein sets!
• The dyers listed above are those that I know of to carry mini-skeins {individually or as sets} regularly in their shops.
