The Scribble Top is the perfect project if your looking to try something new. Knitted using two different needle sizes, the open and airy stitch has contrasting vertical stripes of structure and open webs. It’s designed with a simple, slightly loose fitting shape that keeps all focus on the stitch.

The Scribble Top is knitted flat from the bottom up in two pieces, the front and the back. It’s knitted in an all over open stitch with decreases made to create a fitted armhole and neckline.

This pattern provides easy to follow detailed instructions using the following techniques:

Cable cast on, knit, purl, skipping stitches, purl over, decreasing, cast off, slip stitch and invisible seaming.

Skill Level: Intermediate.
