Welcome to the Scribbles collection.

I like the look of dropped stitches, but I wanted something a little bit different than the standard dropped stitches or the seafoam stitch and these dropped stitches are built on a bed of stockinette rather than garter.

I designed this pattern with the intention of using the lovely but lonely hanks of Malabrigo Mecha or other soft and bulky yarn.

This is the first pattern in the collection, more to come soon.

Instructions are given for both options: knitted flat
and sewn to close, respectively knitted seamless in the round.

The second option requires more attention as you’ll need to
change the position of the stitch marker on a regular basis.

Needles: 6mm/US10, UK4 - please note I knit pretty loosely so might need to go a size up in needles if your tension is firm.

Gauge not extremely important unless you have limited yarn available and want to achieve the exact size.
approx. 13.5st/20.5rows/10cm, 26cm high x 54cm diameter

approx. 12.5st/18.5 rows/10cm, 26.5cm high x 58cm diameter (Skeinz Whisper 12ply)
Yarn alternatives: 100-120m of 12 ply/chunky/bulky/ airy yarn.
