You’ll taste salt on the wind and feel the sun on your face every time you wrap yourself in Scrobicularia. This shawlette’s unique shape and striping are inspired by the natural shape of a common sea shell in Germany, the “Pfeffermuschel”. Short rows create the necessary asymmetry, while the rough texture of the shawlette’s slip stitch and knot-stitch mesh patterns call to mind the shell’s ridges. The striking azure and sand gradients of the Frida Fuchs yarns will carry summer warmth well into the colder parts of the year. Enjoy knitting your summer memories into a gorgeous accessory!

If replacing the yarns, two skeins of 366 m (400 yd) each will do! A gradient is not required, but adds a bit of extra fun.

Jedes Mal, wenn du dir Scrobicularia um die Schultern legst, wird dich dieses Tuch das Meersalz auf der Zunge schmecken und die Sonne im Gesicht spühren lassen. Denn das sind die Assoziationen, die dringend mit eingestrickt gehören.

Die Form des Tuches und Musterfolge der Streifen sind vom Aussehen der Pfeffermuschel inspiriert. Verkürzte Reihen sorgen für die notwendige Asymmetrie und die Textur von Knoten- und Hebemaschenmuster erinnert an die zum Teil rauheren Kanten von Muschelschalen. Die Wolle von Frida Fuchs unterstreicht das maritime Thema mit einem kräftigen Azurblau sowie einem kühlenden sandfarbenen Farbgradienten.
