Scrollwork Socks
These lovely, intricate socks match my Scrollwork Shawl. They are worked top-down in a pattern created by twisted stitches and small 1x1 cables that can easily be worked without a cable needle.
This pattern includes both written and charted instructions and is currently only available in one size, but can be upsized by adding some ribbing to either side of the stitch pattern.
IMPORTANT: Due to the nature of this stitch pattern, the fabric is not very elastic. I highly suggest trying on your sock after knitting a couple of inches of the pattern. You may also want to go up a needle size to get a slightly larger gauge if you’re worried about it. I have a pretty average women’s calf/foot width and I wear a size 9 shoe and these fit me fine. I am also a slightly tight knitter.
ERRATA: On row 2 of the heel flap instructions it should read “sl1, p33” not “sl1, p31”.
