The Scrub and Swipe, or The 2 color Linen Stitch dish cloth and dishtowel, is a pattern I offer for free so that you can get to know my pattern writing style and also create a beautiful dishcloth/dish towel.

The two color linen stitch offers a beautiful woven looking fabric that appears to have intricate colorwork, while in fact it is knit very easily by knitting with one color at a time. Thee right side of the fabric is smooth and perfect for wiping surfaces. The wrong side of the fabric is bumpy, a bit like seed stitch, and good for scrubbing.

Though the pattern is written for three sizes, 6x6”, 9x9” and 15x17”, it is easily customizable to any size you wish by adding or taking away 2 stitches.

This pattern uses 2 colors yarn, and it is recommended that you use cotton or another material that is good for being used in the kitchen.
