If you are looking for ways to use up odds and ends of yarn or an easier knitting project, you could try knitting some hair Scrunchies. The knitting pattern designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz using acrylic DK yarns. Perfect for tying your hair up, or to wear on your wrist to compliment your outfit.

The scrunchies are knitted flat on single pointed needles. You will also need a tapestry or darning needle for seaming, and an elastic hair band. This pattern incorporates a provisional cast on and kitchener stitch grafting. Each scrunchie follows the same knitting pattern, but there are three options for finishing your scrunchies which give different looks:

1. The white scrunchie is worked in stockinette (stocking stitch) and seamed using mattress stitch.
2. The pink scrunchie is in reverse stockinette, so the bumpy purl side of the knitting is the right side of the work. This is also seamed in mattress stitch.
3. The grey scrunchie is in reverse stockinette and uses a crochet hook to work a crocheted seam to create the ridge of stitches around the outside edge.
