This pattern is for a free-standing sculptural crochet vase, with a flower top. It is worked in continuous rounds, and is available in UK and US crochet terms.

Your tension will need to be very tight to achieve a rigid effect for this vase. The flower top does not require such a tight tension.

I recommend using a full length metal hook with a comfortable grip handle (not half hook/half handle as these can snap under pressure).

This vase requires approx. 45 grams of yarn, and stands 11cm high.
