Sculptured Waves Scarf
The Sculptured Wave pattern is three dimensional pattern based on a 12 stitch repeat designed to represent the rolling and breaking waves of the ocean. The scarf is made bottom up along the length of the scarf.
It works with a variety of yarn weights from sock weight to DK yarn and a variety of lengths. The pattern has options for 200m of sock yarn to 200 -400m of DK/8ply yarn.
It was designed to be made with wool and other elastic fibres but it has been tested with gradient silk yarn and a smaller hook (1 mm smaller).
The pattern was original designed for gradient yarn but has also been tested with variegated yarns and a combination of two complementary coloured yarns.
The pattern includes charts. There is also videos on YouTube : https://youtu.be/Tep4doZBlJA
