This geometrical motif comes from a 17th century embroidery book. I liked the symmetry of the squares and the small embellishments in the rectangles. I called this cowl Scyte as that is an Old English word for square or rectangle.

Main Colour (MC) Sirdar Harrap Tweed 155 m / 50 g (170 yds / 1.76 oz), 2 balls. Colour 0108 Purple Tweed. Any currently available DK (#3) yarn with similar yardage may be substituted.
Contrast Colour (CC) Gedifra English Tweed 114 m / 50 g (125 yds / 1.76 oz), 1 ball. Colour 1904 Tan. Any currently available Light Worsted (#3) yarn with similar yardage may be substituted.
Needles - US 6 (4 mm) circular, 56cm /22” long, or size needed to obtain gauge
