Sdr.Jagtvej…a beautiful street just around the corner from my sister’s home in Hørsholm, Denmark. Turn left and you enter the lovely woods that leads towards a trail to Karen Blixens home and Rungsted Kyst Marina. Turn right and the road leads to Hørsholm Kirke with its lovely gardens. This is the site of the original Hirschholm Palace. Visiting this past October, these places were often included in my daily walks. Fall brings so many interesting shades of yellow and gold as the leaves continue to change to various shades of brown leaving a deep blanket on the forest floor as they drop from the trees.
A trip home just has to include a visit to the local yarn shop, Englestof, which yielded a purchase of Sandes Garn Line. Graced with bands of garter stitch and complimented with rows of eyelets, Sdr.Jagtvej knits up quickly and gracefully reminding me of my lovely walks in the woods.
