Sea Breeze Baby Blanket & Lap Blanket Crochet Pattern includes instructions for a baby blanket in size 34”x34” & a crib size or lap blanket that measures 34” x 54”. This is a perfect pattern to create gifts for an ocean lover or any mermaid at heart in your life. The baby blanket would be an adorable addition to an ocean themed baby room. The lap blanket would be a great gift to make for anyone who loves the ocean. This pdf downloadable pattern also includes links to youtube tutorial videos I’ve created to help you along the way. It uses crochet hook sizes I (5.5 mm), & 100% acrylic yarn. I have used Red Heart Super Saver in Topaz. I Love This Yarn in Cypress Landing and Red Heart Stripes in Flamenco Stripes. You could also use any size 4 medium worsted weight yarn. Stitches used in this pattern are dc, dtr, dc inc, hdc, hdc inc, sl st, tr, tr inc, trtr. You will be working in BLO, BP, FLO & FP. You might not recognize some of those stitches and that is okay, don’t let it scare you away from this unique pattern. I have video tutorial links included for those stitches and they are easy to learn.

In this pattern, you can make this blanket in 3 different looks. Check out the 1st photo. The blanket to the left uses some surface crochet to make whitecaps on top of the waves. The 2nd blanket I used a self striping yarn and the texture of the pattern comes through really well. The blanket on the right I have outlined the entire blanket in dark blue. The instructions for all of these are included in the pattern with links to the tutorial videos I’ve created for each one.

This pattern is advanced beginner to intermediate but the video tutorials should help even the beginner complete it.
