Sea Cravings
Once you have lived near the sea it’s always hard to settle away from the endless blue horizon. Every now and then I get Sea Cravings and need to go to nearest beach and just stand and watch the water for a while and breathe the salty air.
One of those times I went to see the sea I met Helen, who is the dyer behind Giddy Yarns, and we talked about the sea and interpreting this craving in a pattern. Helen’s Turning Tide yarns are a perfect match for my longing for the sea, and so this pattern was born. You can find the yarn set for purchase here.
Sea Cravings is a triangle sister to my Blend In, Stand Out pattern, using garter stitch and a simple lace pattern to create the ripples of the waves.
