Imagine the gentle waves of the ocean carrying the Sea Dragons of the ocean from one point to the next. The undulating pattern of the Sea Dragon shawl reminded me of the gentle ocean creatures which is why the pattern is named after them.

The pattern is a two color pattern but no yarn is carried. The contrasting color is worked in two rows, then the remaining rows of the patter (6) are worked in the main color. The majority of the shawl is worked in garter stitch except for the two rows of contrast color and the edging. I consider this shawl to be an advanced beginner level.

One of the fun things about this shawl is that the contrast color can all be worked as one color or use different colored yarns to add your own touch to the shawl.

Although written for all weight yarns, the size is smaller with the lighter weight yarns. I would encourage DK or heavier weight yarns for the shawl.
