Inspired by waves washing seaglass ashore, this Racerback is worked top-down in fingering weight yarn on larger needles to create a light fabric with soft drape and swing, perfect for warmer weather. The piece is cast-on at the upper back and worked to the underarms where the stitches are put on hold. The shoulder straps are knit one at a time until the two pieces are joined at the neck and underarm, worked in the round and shaped to the hem. Meant to be worn with positive ease, this style is flattering on all silhouettes! Shown in M-38” (96 cm) bust with 1” (2.5 cm) positive ease in the bust and 6” (15 cm) at the hips.

Correction: 270, not 271 for size three final.

Gauge 23 stitches by 32 rows = 4”(10 cm) in stockinette stitch.
