A simple lace pattern knit in a rectangle with ¾ length sleeves creates this cardigan with the drapey front.

I am drawn to this color in my jewelry because it is the common sea glass color. I decided to design something in this color that would give me the same sense of serenity. A shawl cardigan with its graceful front folds and the generous rectangular shape that you can wrap yourself in like an afghan was the perfect choice.

The stitch pattern is a two row repeat, so no chart to follow. There is no shaping and no finishing except for weaving in loose ends. You do have to to bind off stitches and cast stitches back on in the middle of the row which is a little tricky if you have not done that before. You cannot use the long tail cast on for this so I have explained a preferred cast on in the stitch glossary. You also have to pick up stitches for the sleeves and I explain how to do this in the stitch glossary as well.
