Sea Monster Mittens
Nessie, Ogopogo, Cetus, Selma? Sea Monster or Dinosaur? You decide!
While old nautical maps are lovely I could never figure out how to knit one but on those maps there always be monsters. Don’t you think you would look super cool wearing a pair of Sea Monster mittens that you made yourself!!! Are you a knitter who knows someone who loves sea monsters like Nessie and have just found the perfect gift idea?
Inspired by the sea monsters lurking on the edges of old nautical maps this fun mitten design pattern is recommended for intermediate knitters familiar with reading charts, stranded colorwork, and duplicate stitch. The pattern is on a downloadable PDF digital file and includes instructions and easy to follow design charts. You can knit these mittens in any two contrasting colors in the yarn of your choice. The mittens pictured were knit using sock / fingering weight and 2.25mm needles for a women’s large / men’s medium size but you could easily use smaller needles to make a women’s small or teen size mitten.
Even if you are a beginner, mittens are fun and easy to knit up in a short time and make excellent custom gifts. Can you imagine their face when you give them hand-made-by-you of mittens of a sea monster in their fave colors! They might even cry! Start knitting these cute and fun Sea Monster mittens today.
