Sea Odyssey Mosaic Collection
These instructions will teach you 4 different sea themed mosaic crochet designs using written instructions, charts and process photos. It is worked in overlay crochet technique with two (or more) contrasting colours. Overlay stitches are made in front loops, so there is no chains behind them. Even if you are new to mosaic, abundance of photos and detailed explanations would make for an easy first project.
The four Sea Odyssey parts include:
1) Scales
2) Sails
3) Waves
4) Fish (although my son reckons it looks like a squid :D)
These four parts are stackable! A chart of how to put them together in a continuous way is included. Although they can also be separated by a few rows of sc instead, if desired
You will need yarn of the same weight in 2 contrasting colours and the hook sized to your yarn. Colour changing yarn would work great with any of these patterns. These designs would make a very pretty blanket by just following the instructions with your preferred size in mind. Would also make a lovely sea themed bag for the beach or swimming pool (whenever they reopen…) On the second picture you can see the bag I made …. for my yarns, sadly not for the beach. I was still developing the pattern when making this bag, and it’s more perfected now, however gives you a good view of how these patterns can be stacked.
EDIT: I included printer friendly pdf version that has written instructions and graphs only.
EDIT2: The magenta pattern on the photos uses 3 of the design sections separated by a connecting strip. If there is a need for strip’s written instructions, I’m happy to add it to the pattern, just send me a message.
