This pattern is written in US crochet terms. The difficulty level is easy to intermediate.

For this pattern, you’ll need:

• 3 mm crochet hook (US D/3 or UK 10)
• 5 mm crochet hook (US H/8 or UK 6)
• Fine weight yarn for the body
• Bulky yarn for the shell
• Safety eyes
• Amigurumi stuffing
• Scissors

The finished turtle has a length of around 20 cm or 8 inches, and a width of 22 cm or 8.5 inches.

NOTE: If you want to use fine weight yarn for both the body and the shell, the pattern includes instructions for that as well.
