No-Sew Sea Turtle with 3 Sizes Pattern.

A cute sea turtle pattern that can be made in three sizes! Individual instructions are provided for the small and large, with modifications to create the giant size. Crocheted eye options are available for each size as a baby safe alternative to safety eyes. The shell detailing is created without any embroidery, and utilizes techniques such as half colour changes to achieve clean lines.

The pattern includes instructions and images for making the turtles, and three sizes of crocheted eyes. All parts of the turtle are crocheted in one piece with optional sewing for the eyes.

Using DK yarn and a 3.0mm hook (gauge 6 sts x 7 rows = 2.5cm):
The small size is approximately 10cm long, and 12cm wide.
The large size is approximately 20cm long, and 25cm wide.

Using Super Bulky yarn and a 9.0mm hook (gauge 4 sts x 5 rows = 5cm):
The giant size is approximately 66cm long, and 80cm wide.

Materials required:

For Small or Large Sizes

• 115m/ 50g, DK weight cotton yarn: one ball each of upper shell colour, lower shell colour, and body colour
• 3.0mm hook
• Safety eyes: Small - 12mm, Large - 20mm
• Stuffing material
• Yarn needle, scissors, stitch markers

For Giant Size

• 80m/ 200g, Super Bulky weight wool yarn: 1.5 balls of upper shell & lower shell colours, and 2.5 balls of body colour
• 9.0mm hook
• 40mm safety eyes

Optional for Crocheted Eyes

• Small: 2.0mm hook, 4ply cotton crochet thread in the colours black and white
• Large & Giant: 3.0mm hook, DK cotton yarn in the colours black and white
