Sea Wreaths
This pattern was inspired by the beautiful Indiecita colorway and T.S. Eliot’s “sea-girls wreathed in seaweed”. As I looked at the yarn, I could envisage the sea otters and mermaids, tangling themselves in the safety of the kelp forests on a cold winter day. You can twine yourself in this twisting kelp pattern, featured on the cuffs of the fingerless mitts and hat band, while staying toasty on land or sea.
The fingerless mitts are knit top-down, in the round. So, you can easily lengthen or shorten if you like.
The hat band is worked back and forth, joined, and then stitches picked up and worked in the round.
This set can be created with just one skein of Malabrigo Sock.
This pattern was winner of the Malabrigo Sock Design Contest.
