Seabird is a triangular, asymmetric shawlette which is knit in one piece. The whole garment is knit in garter stitch. Its size can be adjusted easily. Gauge is not so critical. This design works perfectly with hand-dyed multicolor yarn. One of the two wave-borders is formed while knitting the body of the shawl. The pattern is super easy to remember and makes the shawlette a great “handbag“ project. The second border is made in the last step by adding small waves. This is also easy and can be skipped if you’re running out of yarn.

Seabird ist ein asymmetrisches Tuch in Dreiecksform, das in einem Stück gestrickt wird. Das komplette Strickstück wird kraus rechts gestrickt. Die Größe des Tuchs kann ganz einfach angepasst werden. Eine exakte Maschenprobe ist nicht notwendig. Das Tuch wirkt am besten in handgefärbtem Multicolor-Garn. Die erste Wellenkante wird mit dem Schalkörper gestrickt. Das Strickmuster ist einfach zu merken und somit ideal als „Handtaschen-Projekt“. Die zweite Wellenkante wird zuletzt angestrickt, kann aber auch weggelassen werden, falls das Garn ausgeht.
