Seafront is the last pattern I’m releasing in 2022. It is a very spontaneous design that I came up during a rather busy period of time. I needed some fun knitting to take my mind off the busy work days and it would have to be a quick knit, too, so I would have the pleasure to finish and wear it during the fall.
The challenge was to make use of one skein of my favourite fingering weight yarn and the two techniques I love so much that I chose for my Ravelry nickname: lace and garter.
The idea was to keep it as basic as possible for the beginner knitters out there, yet interesting enough for us, veterans.
Well, there you have it: a top-down crescent-ish shaped shawl, no short-rows included in the shaping, mind you. Just yarnovers and smart increases to create a long and relatively narrow shawl that can easily serve as a scarf, too. Enjoy!
