Seaglass Headband
Welcome!
This headband reminds me of last summer and picking sea-glass off a beach in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia with my mother-in-law. Sea-glass is basically broken glass from bottles that has washed up on the beach, softened by the oceans salt water.
Blue sea-glass is incredibly rare and we found some that day! NOTE: Being pregnant and nauseated did not stop me that day! Sea-glass is LIFE!
This pattern is very basic with only chains, single crochets, and joining yarn being the skills needed. The inside of the headband is a different pattern completely, but it is a subtle change. I hope you enjoy this pattern
•This pattern is worked in rows and joined with a slip stitch in the starting chain. A single row of single crochets in a yarn color that matches the variegation looks nice but you can continue along with the single crochets and not change colors if you prefer.
•I used the moss stitch (aka the granite stitch) to make this headband
•I included a chart for sizing your headband. It is based on average head sizes
•The single crochets for the border are worked on the top and bottom. Which means you will tie off your work after completing the single crochets on the top of your work. After the tie off, you will join your yarn to the bottom of your work (starting chain)
•Illustrations are included to make this easier to follow but if you have questions you can email me at coolraincrochet@gmail.com.
