Seagrass Ankle Socks
I have designed this toe-up pattern with beautiful blue oceans, summer beaches and fun times in mind. Summer is one of my favorite times of the year and for my family as well! These socks are an easy knit with a simple lace pattern while still keeping you engaged in the project, so you don’t get bored. The lace pattern almost looks like cables. Also perfect for 9-inch circulars!
Size depends on how many german short rows you work. How many stitches you leave unworked in the middle depends on how wide you want your sock foot and heel to be. If you want it be wider, do fewer GSR’s. If you want it narrower, do a few more GSR’s and less live stitches in the middle. For example, if your foot is narrower I would work 1 or 2 more GSR’s on each side to make the sock narrower. If your foot is wider then work 1 or 2 less on each side to make it wider. Customizing the size is totally optional, and the size in the pattern will still fit. This is just a way to customize the sock to fit more snug or loose depending on your comfort level.
