Seamless Knitted Animal Dolls
I wanted to knit simple dolls for my great niece and was attracted to the look of the Ready Teddy in a Square by Marion Starr but wanted a seamless construction. Also, I liked the circular skirts on the Pretty Izzy Dolls by Esther Braithwaite. I combined the ideas of those patterns (both of which are free) with my own to arrive at these four friends.
Materials:
Worsted weight yarn in a variety of colors. Great for using up leftovers. If buying yarn, consider worsted weight yarn Lion Brand Mandala. Each ball is a long color change acrylic yarn, which can be wound into approximately small balls of 8 colors. The various colors have different lengths and are perfect for a variety of small dolls. The smallest quantities will work for shoes, belts, and skirts.
The dolls measure about 10” high, 4” wide, and 2” front to back.
