Searc means love in old Irish. I couldn’t think of a better name for my favorite headband wear when hiking with my searc!
You’ll have loads fun knitting up this headband because of the unique stitch pattern and it’s a super quick knit! This is an intermediate to very adventurous beginner knitting pattern. The headband can be worn wide or scrunched up; plus the back is tapered so that it comfortably fits under ponytails.

  • Finished Measurements: Adult/One Size
  • Headband fits up to 23” (58.42cm) head and 7” (17.78cm) across at widest point.
  • Any #4 Medium weight yarn (worsted / aran) can be used - 66yds/60m total.

Check out my projects - cotton, acrylic, hand felted wool - there are so many options!

The pattern used a provisional cast on and 3 needle bind off. If that isn’t your jam a regular cast on/bind off and seaming could be substituted easily.
