When Nicola met Carolin and Antje in Hamburg, Carolin asked her whether she wanted to do a nice little design for her blog. Without an inkling what to make she replied “I’ll think about it”. Then she couldn’t stop thinking about it. She found herself sitting on the sofa for the next few days, racking her brains: Lanade … Lanade … what do I associate with Lanade? The Baltic Sea, beaches, driftwood, seashells … seashells! That’s it, I’m gonna design a seashell shawl! Eight calculations and two pattern prototypes later she started knitting ‘Seashell’. And now you can, too.

Als Nicola sich Ende Januar 2016 mit Carolin und Antje in Hamburg traf, fragte Carolin sie, ob sie nicht mal was Schönes bei ihr veröffentlichen möchte. „Ich denk’ mal drüber nach“, sagte sie, ohne
ansatzweise eine Idee zu haben. Aber irgendwie ließ ihr der Gedanke keine Ruhe. Und so saß sie am nächsten Tag grübelnd auf dem Sofa. Lanade … Lanade … Hmm, was fällt mir denn dazu ein? Ostsee, Strand, Treibholz, Muscheln … Muschel! Das ist es, ich mache ein Muscheltuch. Acht Berechnungen und zwei Strickversuche mit altem Sockengarn später konnte sie starten. Und ihr jetzt auch.
