Seashell Coasters for the Loom
Seashell Coasters for the Loom is adapted from the needle knit pattern Seashell Coasters by Sybil R, with her permission. This pattern uses short rows and intarsia colorwork to create the fun, summery, seashell shape. (Many thanks, Sybil!)
This pattern can be made on any loom with at least 21 pegs, with any yarn that matches the gauge of the loom being used. The pattern was originally designed for a 3/8” small gauge loom, such as the Knitting Board 10” Loom or All in One. The samples were made with Hobby Lobby I Love This Cotton! and used approximately 30 - 35 yards (15-20 yards of the main color and 10-15 yards of the contrasting color).
What color combinations will you try?

I’m doing a couple “test knits” to fine tune the pattern, and to get some photos of what the variations look like. I’ll publish an update when I have all that, but in the meantime:
The extra “tail” should be at peg 1. For the long-tail cast on, cast on from 21 to 1; both the working yarn and the tail will be at peg 1. Purl from 1 to 21 and you’re ready to start wedge 1.
However - for a double e-wrap, crochet, etc cast on, cast on from 1 to 21, knit from 21 to 1, purl from 1 to 21, and start wedge 1. (Basically, add a knit row, to get the CC and CCT at opposite ends.)
