SeaShellShawl
by Kyre Adept
This lovely flowing shawl is remarkably easy to make, once you get the concept in your mind. It’s an expanding pattern of ribs, and you can continue until it’s the length that suits you best. You can also use any yarn, so long as you employ large enough needles to make a fabric that drapes beautifully.
The original pattern called for lace weight yarn; I personally prefer sock weight or fingering so that it knits up faster. For the cream version of this shawl, I used about 200 grams of Diadem from Knitpicks.com. For the rainbow version, I used just over two 150g balls of Shawl in a Ball, carefully matching the flow of colors.
