Fsc 8, ch 2, DC across. Ch 2 and turn, DC. 8 sts x 4 rows = 4”

Pattern notes: this hat comes in two sizes, an adult S/M and a L/XL, I highly suggest that after you do you foundation single crochet, you try on the band to make sure it’s the right size for you before continuing.
Chain and the beginning of a round never counts as a stitch.
At the end of front and back post rounds, you will end with a front post stitch. Your chain will end up looking like the next back post stitch.
