Seaside Darling Scarf
Like most seaside attractions, the Seaside Darling Scarf is cheerful and fun, the perfect day off. The pattern is ideal for when you need some instant gratification - it works up quickly and easily, and it’s almost entirely mindless. It’s easily adjustable in width and length so you can work it up in any yarn or weight, to fit any size!
Yarn
The sample uses single ply, but works up beautifully in plied yarns too. It stripes perfectly with a self-striping yarn, would look amazing in a gradient, and shines in a tonal, but a variegated yarn will obscure the pattern details.
Gauge
4 st sets and 9 rows = 4”/10cm in st pattern. Gauge is not essential to this pattern as a scarf that is slightly larger or smaller will still fit nicely, and the scarf can also be easily adjusted in width and length.
Size
Each skein of 208yds/50g nets a scarf that is approximately 5.25” wide and 33”/84cm long. Use 208yds/50g for a shorter infinity scarf that measures 33”/168cm long, or 416yds/100g for a longer scarf that measures 66” long.
Pattern includes notes for making the scarf wider and longer.
Skills required
This is a beginner friendly pattern, using just ch, sc, dc
