Materials:
• Yarn – worsted 1 skein Red Heart, Buff fleck
• Needles - US10.5
• Gage – 4 stitches per inch, 4 rows per inch
Notes:
There are a few things I want to point out before you start. The gage doesn’t matter in this pattern. That being said I tend to knit a tight stitch, so try to loosen a bit if you are like me. I recently learned this stitch as an accent stitch and wonders what it would be like as the main stitch, so I conducted an experiment. The resulting pattern emerged. When casting on use your favorite, I used a crochet cast-on to match the bind off and slipped stitch edge. It gives a nice cohesive appearance. You can increase to any width you desire but remember you must end on an odd number stitch. Each row counts as 1. I am mentioning this because I tend to get confused when reading patterns, thus a Ws row =1 and an Rs row = 1.
