Season One: Not Just Your Basic Granny Square is a CAL we ran for 18 days during the Level 5 lockdown for COVID-19 on the Creative Kogi Crochet Patterns Facebook Page. Its a super simple baby blanket aimed at beginners, but something anyone and everyone can do. Many of us have been juggling many balls during this lockdown and its been an extremely stressful time. So this CAL was about taking just 30 mins a day to do something for yourself that is relaxing and that requires no complicated patterns or intense concentration. The CAL is called – Not just your basic granny square. So while it’s not just your basic granny square… It’s still a granny square. We do a few variations of the stitches, but typically we will make a granny square baby blanket.
