This adorable unisex cardigan vest is sized for baby, toddler, and big kids.
It is quick, easy and enjoyable to knit in garter stitch ( no purling on this one! ).
Pattern is written for Ella Rae Seasons yarn - a wonderfully soft and easy care yarn, with long color repeats for great color effect.
Seasons is a ‘light’ chunky weight yarn, working up at 4 stitches per inch in garter stitch, on size 9 needles.
Baby size has 20” finished chest circumference.
Toddler size has 24” finished chest circumference.
Big Kid size has 28” finished chest circumference.
Size is easily adapted by increasing or decreasing needle size, and/or adding length to garment before armhole shaping.
Vest is knit in pieces, joined at the shoulders, then stitches are picked up for the button band, with a single buttonhole placed at the front center.
Reverse shaping instructions are clearly written out for right and left front pieces.
