The Season of Friendship Scarf is meant to go right along with my hat design of the same name. A few years back I wanted to design something special for my friends for Christmas. These two patterns are born from that desire and the original pattern is now a cozy scarf.

I love how the twisted cables represent our lives being woven together in friendship. The baubles seem to me like bumps in the road. No relationship is perfect. They all have their bumps. A true friend meets you on the other side of the bump and your friendship continues to move forward, just like this pattern.

The pattern calls for US size 8 knitting needles and either Aran or Worsted weight yarn. The pictured product was made with Plymouth Yarn Trabajos Del Peru, which is Aran weight. The pattern is repetitive and easy to memorize, which means you can knit rather mindlessly.
