This pattern creates a beautiful lacy shawl
from less than 200g of seaweed yarn, and as
it is worked on 6mm needles it knits up very
quickly.
The finished dimensions are
50cm x 140cm approx -
due to the lacy texture it can be pulled longer
and thinner or shorter and wider but when
naturally laid down it is
140cm x 50cm.
You can make the shawl bigger or smaller as
we have indicated how much yarn you will
need for your bind off.

This pattern is written for our fingering/4 ply weight seaweed however any fingering weight yarn can be used. We use 6mm needles to give an open lacy/mesh effect and a picot bind on and off for extra detail on the edges. The long edges have an Icord edgeing to help keep the shape of the shawl.
