Sebastian
This stylish knit is a true staple for both everyday wear and special occasions. The crisscrossing plaid patterns of the Sebastian sweater, created with traveling stitches, give it a chic and visually striking look. The Sebastian sweater is knitted in separate sections—front, back, and sleeves—which are then sewn together
using a purl stitch along the edges. Knitting the sweater in pieces makes it easier to work the textured surface, while the wrong-side rows help in following the checkered pattern. The seams also reinforce the knit, adding structure and a crisp, polished finish. However, be sure to stitch carefully for a neat and professional look.
This sweater is worked in sections and joined together using
mattress stitch. To finish, the ribbed neckline trim will be worked in the round. The sweater is worked with two strands of yarn held together, Novita Nalle + Novita Tuuli.
