Second Sock Cowl 2 Electric Boogaloo
In March I released the Second Sock Cowl , my answer to what to knit with that 50 grams of sock yarn that’s never actually going to become a second sock LOL.
This cowl is the sequel to that pattern. I thoroughly enjoyed the speed at which I was able to complete a cowl with only 50 g (200 yds) of fingering weight yarn. It’s a close to instant gratification as I’ve achieved in knitting. But if I wanted to knit the same thing twice (i.e.: cast on another Second Sock Cowl) then I might as well knit a pair of socks.
So I decided to design another Second Sock Cowl, only with fancier lace because that was what I was feeling at the time. It was just as fun and satisfying as the first one and it used up a partial ball of yarn I had laying about.
Honestly, I would be surprised if I didn’t get the urge to design another SSC (my own private abbreviation) in the near future. Maybe it will be part 3, or possibly some prequels? Who knows?
I found it easiest to use a 16” circular needle for this pattern but you do you. Pattern can be worked entirely from written instructions or with supplementary chart.
Stitches used: knit, k2tog, m1R, purl, ssk, YO
