The Secret Garden shrug is worked side to side in rows, and the sleeve sections are seamed together. a change in stitch pattern and hook size allows the back portion of the shrug to expand and the openness and elasticity of the stitch allows for aggressive blocking to accommodate wider shoulders without changing the stitch count. Sample shown was not blocked to its full potential.
