Secret Identity Mask (knit)
This is a freeform mask for superheroes and subversive knitters everywhere!
It’s a quick project that uses up a small amount of yarn to make a really nifty and fun accessory. Planning a late-night knitted graffiti session? Hide your identity with a one-of-a-kind creation of your own!
The pattern is adaptable for any weight of yarn in any gauge– information in the pattern uses standard measurements and math to lay out a basic construction for you to follow in creating your own designs and inventions.
This is the knitted version of the Freedom-Loving Superhero Mask, which is also available in crochet.
Errata Note (8/18/10): The pattern as written says to “continue for 4-6 inches” after binding off half the stitches. That’s a bit much, and should really be 4-6 rows, maybe a couple of inches if you like your mask to wrap around quite a bit. I’ll update the PDF as soon as I can.
