I unearthed the PDF file from my archived storage and uploaded it for this pattern. Important to note, though: this is the version I sent to my tech editor. I never incorporated the tech edits they provided and there are likely (hopefully minor) errors.

I have a confession. I have a secret love, and I have to shout it out loud: I love garter stitch. It’s soft and squishy, and it’s versatile. It’s relaxing, it’s easy, and anyone can do it. As beautiful as a hand knit sweater with cascading cables and lace can be, I can’t get over my secret love for garter stitch. As an advanced knitter I know I’m supposed to eschew garter stitch, but I just can’t let it go. I’ll admit it: I still make garter stitch scarves. So this scarf is a celebration of my love for garter stitch and simple lace that almost anyone can knit.

Grab a scale if you want to adjust the shape of the pattern! You can make a more emphasized triangle but doing additional increase and decrease sections and omitting straight repeats. I’ve given instructions based on maximizing your yardage for the best shape possible. If you prefer a thinner scarf, or something wider, you can easily adjust the pattern by doing additional increase, decrease, or straight sections.
