Secret Surprise Rudolf
Here is a new pattern for you. It combines our love for Christmas and Nordic Gnomes. This naughty Rudolf Gnome has a secret! Look inside. Sometimes it hides sweets and treats but sometimes something stronger.
This is an easy beginner-friendly pattern. It requires very basic felting skills. However, an alternative to felting is provided in the pattern.
It’s designed to hold 500cl gin bottle. The pattern also provides a guide on how to adjust the finished item to suit your needs (bigger or smaller bottle). You also can use this as a container for sweets and treats.
The pattern is designed using Sheepjes Colour Crafter DK yarn. You can use any DK yarn, however, some yarn is thicker/thinner than others. Go for yarn with 300 meters in 100g.
Materials you will need:
DK Yarn (100g – 300m) in
Beige (approximately 50g),
Brown (approximately 20-30g)
White (approximately 10-15g)
Red (approximately 10g, more if you chose to make gnome’s beard from the yarn)
Felting Yarn for the beard (red)
Hooks size 3 and 3.5mm
Felting needle
Toy stuffing for arms and nose
A pair of safety eyes
Marker. I use an offcut of yarn from previous projects
A piece of cardboard (optional)
All-purpose glue (optional)
A bottle. You can use a full one, you can use an empty one. You can empty the bottle as you work.
Hope you enjoy your pattern.
