Secretive Storms
Greetings again folks! Encouraged by the reaction after posting my first pattern, I quickly finished up this one that I had been dabbling with. It’s a wonderful beret/tam (with a great option if you want it to be a cap… I think it looks amazing that way on the boyfriend, but I always think he’s dreamy). The cabled brim is snug while stretching, and complements the lattice work crown. It’s just in time for the fall weather (wish me luck, this is my first experience with actual weather seasons).
It works with a bulky weight yarn (I’ve tried it with two kinds so far) worked in two parts. Yes, it involves some non-beginner techniques, but I include photo diagrams and links to make it easy (remember, it’s just one stitch at a time). The good news is that since it’s used with a thick yarn, you’ll have practiced the techniques while still completing it quickly.
Again, you can find it on my blog posting Secretive Storms.
Happy knitting!
